いよいよ．．．いや、失礼。今は、なりたくなくっても、ならなきゃいけなくなってしまった。社会人の事だ。
この夏大学を卒業した。それで、こんなあたしも社会に出なければいけない時が来た。ようするに、’オトナ’にならなきゃかな。絵描きさんになりたいのは子供の時からの夢だけど、どうしたらいいか良く分からない。芸術の道は普通の就職とはかなり違うから。特に先生から実際美大の卒業生が本当に絵描きさんやイラストレーターになれる割合が１００人に一人と言われている。その言葉を聞いて、なんだかぞっと来た。その時、クラスメイト達とあたしの頭に思い浮かぶのは「果たしてそのひとりはわたしの事でしょうか。」に違いないでしょう。
先生達は５−１０年をかけて、やっと絵の仕事だけで食えるようになった人はほとんどだった。これからは、大人になる道が厳しいだと思う。それ以外にも、自分の作品にもあまり自信のない自分がいる。それでも、がんばらなきゃならないの。多くの人にこう言われた。「どうやって夢がかなえられる方法は考えずに、とりあえず叶えられるを信じてください。そのあと、自分の目の前にあることをやるだけ。きっと、道が開かれるよ。」
まだ、ネバーランドに居続けたいトモでした。
